At the bi monthly meeting on Thursday 15th November, HBVA agreed to install a defibrillator in the outside vestibule. This is available for anyone using the village hall and the general public in the local vicinity. As I am sure you will all appreciate, a defibrillator is a very important lifesaving piece of apparatus and while we all hope never to be in need of one, the benefit of having this available in the village is invaluable. Great thanks to Val Watson for enabling us to obtain a grant towards the cost of the defibrillator, at a great reduction. However, even with this grant, the cost to HBVA is approximately £1,400 (which includes installation, a housing cabinet, a call rescue kit, and power supply). In light of this, HBVA are seeking financial assistance from the Parish Council and Diocese toward the cost of the defibrillator. We are also asking villagers to support fundraising activities.

New Kitchen:

HBVA are outlining new kitchen plans, available at the next scheduled meeting. Once these plans have been approved, they will be available for all villagers to view and any suggestions will be considered.

Future Events:

Keep an eye out for future events in spring 2019 including a family games night with an onsite fish and chip van!
